Swedish Massage in Dubai
At your home, hotel or villa — anywhere in Dubai
The classic full-body treatment — at home, since 2005
A Swedish massage is the treatment most people picture when they think of a massage: a full-body session over oiled skin, long flowing strokes, light-to-medium pressure, one hour that quietly switches your nervous system out of city mode. Every spa in Dubai sells it. We do one thing they cannot: we bring it to your home, hotel room or villa — anywhere in Dubai, at any hour, for a flat AED 300 for 60 minutes with travel included. When it ends, you are already home.
What a Swedish massage actually is — the five classic strokes
Here is a detail most spa menus skip: in Sweden itself this is simply called classic massage. The five strokes that define it carry French names because a nineteenth-century Dutch physician, Johann Georg Mezger, codified them — and a trained therapist works all five in sequence, not just the pleasant gliding one. If your last “Swedish” massage was an hour of vague rubbing, you did not get the real thing.
1 · Effleurage
Long, gliding strokes with the flat of the hands, always towards the heart. Opens the session, spreads the oil, warms the tissue, and returns between every other technique — the thread that ties the hour together.
2 · Petrissage
Kneading — lifting and rolling the muscle like dough. This is where shoulders and calves that sit tight all day actually let go, and where the session earns its keep.
3 · Friction
Small, deep circles with thumbs or fingertips over stubborn spots — the knot under the shoulder blade, the band along the neck. Brief, focused, and always within the pressure you asked for.
4 · Tapotement
Rhythmic percussion — cupped hands, soft chops, light drumming. Used sparingly to wake the tissue; skipped entirely if what you want is to drift towards sleep.
5 · Vibration
Fine trembling and gentle rocking to finish an area, settling everything the other strokes stirred up. The reason you float off the table rather than climb off it.
What one hour actually does
We make no medical claims — Swedish massage is a wellness treatment, not a cure. What twenty years of sessions tell us it reliably does:
Switches the day off
Slow, predictable, rhythmic touch is one of the few things that convinces a wound-up body to stand down. Most guests stop narrating their week to themselves somewhere in the second twenty minutes.
Moves what sits still
Strokes worked towards the heart get blood and warmth through muscles that spent the day parked at a desk or in traffic — the heavy-legs, cold-hands feeling lifts.
Sets up the night
Guests who book evenings tell us the same thing: the sleep after a Swedish massage is a different product from the sleep before it. It is why our 9pm-to-midnight slots fill first.
Swedish, deep tissue or Thai — an honest guide
Choose Swedish if…
…it is your first massage, you want to relax rather than be worked on, you bruise easily, or the goal is an evening that ends in real sleep. Light-to-medium pressure, oiled skin, undressed to your comfort under proper draping.
Choose deep tissue if…
…there is a specific, stubborn ache — a desk back, a gym shoulder — and you accept firmer, slower work on it. Swedish relaxes the whole body; deep tissue interrogates one part of it.
Choose Thai if…
…you want to stay dressed, skip the oil, and be stretched and compressed rather than stroked — closer to assisted yoga than to a classic table massage.
Still unsure? Say so on WhatsApp — describing what your body feels like today is enough, and matching the treatment to the day is our job, not yours. Booking the wrong style and toughing it out helps nobody.
The spa maths nobody prints
A 60-minute Swedish massage at Dubai’s spas currently lists at roughly AED 390 to 580 — before the drive there, the parking, and the forty minutes of traffic that undo the massage on the way home. Ours is a flat AED 300, the table comes to you, and the most relaxed hour of your week is followed by your own shower and your own bed, not Sheikh Zayed Road.
Your Swedish massage at home, step by step
1 · One message
WhatsApp us the area, the time, and male or female therapist. You get the exact arrival time in writing before you confirm — a real number, not “soon”. No deposit, no app, no account.
2 · The setup
Your therapist arrives showered and in clean professional dress, with the massage table, fresh linen used only for your session, and quality oil. Two metres of floor space is all we need; setup takes five minutes.
3 · The check-in
Thirty seconds before the hour starts: pressure, areas to focus on, areas to skip, talk or silence. Say “lighter” or “firmer” at any point and it changes immediately — you will never need to endure a Swedish massage.
4 · The hour
All five strokes, full body, worked to the pressure you set. Hotel guests: reception scans the therapist’s ID and issues a guest pass — standard in every Dubai hotel, day or night; our driver waits outside, so timing never slips.
5 · After
This is the part no spa can sell: the session ends and you are already home. Warm shower if you like, water, bed. The oil is skin-friendly — many guests leave it on and let it finish its work overnight.
60, 90 or 120 minutes?
60 minutes — AED 300
The classic. Full body with an even pace — right if this is maintenance, a weekly reset, or your first massage and you are testing the water.
90 minutes — AED 520
The one we quietly recommend. The same full-body sequence without the clock-watching, and time to give the back and shoulders the double pass they usually deserve.
120 minutes — AED 600
The full reset — unhurried work on every region, or one hour each for two people back to back. On a per-minute basis it is also the best value on the card.
Flat prices, VAT included, travel included, identical in Dubai Marina and Damac Hills 2 alike. Full card on the prices page — and every other treatment we bring travels for the same figures:
Who books Swedish — and who should not
Swedish is our most-booked treatment: first-timers, couples winding down a weekend, hotel guests unwinding a flight, and regulars who treat Sunday evening as standing maintenance. The honest other half: skip it today if you have a fever or feel unwell, have a skin infection or fresh sunburn, or are recovering from recent surgery. If you have a history of blood-clot problems or a heart condition, ask your doctor before booking any massage — we would rather lose a session than guess. Pregnant? Book the prenatal massage instead: side-lying setup, adapted pressure, female therapist on request.
First massage ever? The questions nobody asks out loud
Do I have to make conversation?
No. After the thirty-second check-in, silence is normal and expected. Some guests chat, most drift off — the therapist follows your lead and will never require small talk of you.
What if I fall asleep?
Then the massage worked. It happens in a large share of evening sessions; the therapist finishes the sequence, wakes you gently, and packs down quietly. Sleeping through your own massage is a result, not a faux pas.
I am ticklish — feet especially
Say “skip the feet” and they are skipped, no negotiation. The same goes for any area. A massage you spend braced against is a wasted hour, and the check-in exists precisely to prevent it.
Can I shower before and after?
Yes — and this is the quiet luxury of a home session: your own bathroom on both sides of the hour. A warm shower before helps the muscles start soft; after, you can rinse or keep the oil on overnight.
Visiting Dubai? Swedish massage is the treatment we send most to hotels after long-haul landings — gentle enough for a tired body, and timed to push you towards sleep in your new time zone. Two short guides if that is you: beating jet lag in your first 48 hours and why legs swell after flying — and the practical side of booking a massage to your hotel room.
Swedish massage in Dubai — your questions
How much does a Swedish massage cost in Dubai?
At home with us: a flat AED 300 for 60 minutes, AED 520 for 90 and AED 600 for 120 — VAT and travel included, identical in every area of Dubai, card or cash in any currency. Spa list prices for the same hour currently run roughly AED 390 to 580, plus getting there and back.
What is included in a home Swedish massage?
Everything: a certified therapist who arrives showered and in clean professional dress, the professional massage table, fresh clean linen used only for your session, and quality massage oil. You provide nothing but two metres of floor space — and hotel rooms qualify comfortably.
Should I book Swedish or deep tissue?
Book Swedish to relax the whole body at light-to-medium pressure — ideal for first-timers, stress, and sleep. Book deep tissue when one specific area needs firm, slow work, and you accept some intensity. If you are unsure, tell us on WhatsApp what your body feels like and we will match the treatment — switching mid-session is also fine.
Can I choose a male or female therapist?
Yes — say so in the booking message and we send accordingly. Our team includes certified male and female therapists from Thailand, the Philippines, Russia, Tunisia, India, Pakistan, Japan and Arabic-speaking countries.
What do I wear during a Swedish massage?
You undress to your own comfort level and lie under a fresh sheet or towel — only the area being worked on is uncovered, and it is re-covered as the therapist moves on. This draping standard holds for every session, every therapist, every time.
How often should I book one?
For general wellbeing, most of our regulars settle on weekly or fortnightly; after a heavy week or a long flight, a one-off works exactly as intended. There is no schedule to commit to — no packages you must buy, no memberships.
Can a couple book Swedish massage together?
Yes — two therapists arrive and work side by side, so nobody waits or goes second. Each person is a full session at the normal price: two 60-minute massages are AED 600 in total. It is our most-booked evening for anniversaries in the villa communities.
Do you come to hotels late at night?
Yes — we run 24/7, and hotel visits at night are routine in Dubai: reception scans the therapist’s ID, issues a guest pass, and the pass operates the lift. The same flow applies at practically every hotel in the city, so a 1am booking after a late landing is a normal one for us.
I have sensitive skin or oil allergies — what do you use?
We bring quality massage oil chosen for skin comfort. If you have allergies or sensitive skin, say so in the booking message: we confirm what will be used in writing before the therapist leaves, and you can also provide your own preferred oil — therapists work happily with it.
How far ahead do I need to book?
Usually not far at all: therapists live across Dubai, so same-day — often same-hour — booking is the norm, with arrival around 30 minutes almost everywhere. The exception is peak evening slots and weekends, which fill first; for a specific 9pm couples booking, a few hours’ notice is safer.
